As the flagship of the Argon bookshelf range’s floorstanding counterparts, the 3LX takes the transparent and neutral “studio” sound Amphion is famous for and adds the physical weight and bass extension that only a larger cabinet can provide.

Flagship Tweeter & Seamless Integration

At the heart of the Argon3LX is the same high-specification 1-inch titanium tweeter found in the world-renowned Krypton3X. By utilizing a very low crossover point (1600 Hz), Amphion ensures that the most critical part of the human hearing range is handled by a single, ultra-fast driver. This results in breathtaking vocal clarity and a level of point-source imaging that is rarely found in a floorstanding design.

Passive Radiator Technology

Unlike traditional ported speakers that can suffer from “one-note” bass or port noise, the Argon3LX utilizes a sophisticated passive radiator system. Derived from Amphion’s professional studio monitors, this system allows the 3LX to produce deep, powerful, and exceptionally tuneful bass that remains articulate even at low listening levels or when placed close to room boundaries.

A “Sweet Spot” for the Whole Room

Featuring Amphion’s 5th-generation U/D/D (Uniformly Directive Diffusion) waveguide, the Argon3LX controls sound dispersion to minimize unwanted room reflections. This creates a wide, stable soundstage, ensuring that the “sweet spot” is not limited to a single chair, but can be enjoyed by everyone in the room.
