Preserving the Absolute Fragility of Phono Signals The Vertere Redline Tonearm Cable is a reference-level phono cable engineered specifically to protect the incredibly low-voltage, high-impedance signals generated by your turntable’s cartridge. Unlike standard line-level interconnects, a tonearm cable has a far more demanding job: it must transport minuscule electrical audio signals over a physical distance without allowing pervasive electromagnetic hum, radio-frequency interference (RFI), or high capacitance to degrade the signal.

Directly inherited from the groundbreaking design principles of Vertere’s flagship Pulse-R series, the Redline Tonearm Cable delivers jaw-dropping low-level detail, lightning-fast transient response, and the profound rhythmic timing that analog enthusiasts crave.

Bespoke internal Architecture for Phono Cartridges While the Redline line-level cables are optimized for higher voltage components, the Redline Tonearm Cable features a custom-tuned internal layout designed exclusively for low-output Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges. It utilizes a double-shielded, multi-conductor geometry configured as:

  • 2 x Signal (Hot) Conductors
  • 2 x Signal (Return) Conductors
  • Dedicated Grounding Conductors & Outer Shield

The high-purity copper conductors are plated with a precisely calculated combination of silver and tin to ensure linear frequency response and exceptional signal velocity. Wrapped in premium FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) dielectrics, the cable boasts ultra-low capacitance, preventing the high-frequency roll-off and tonal smearing that generic phono cables introduce.

Advanced Shielding and Dedicated Ground System Turntables are notoriously susceptible to ground loops and hum. To combat this, the Redline Tonearm Cable features an advanced dual-shielding matrix consisting of a dense outer braid and a specialized inner foil wrap. Crucially, it incorporates a comprehensive, external grounding lead system. This ensures a perfectly quiet, zero-potential link between your turntable’s chassis/tonearm assembly and your phono stage, dropping the noise floor to near absolute silence.

Custom Vertere Connections To eliminate the signal reflections caused by generic off-the-shelf connectors, the Redline is factory-terminated with Vertere’s proprietary plugs. Options include a precision-engineered, low-mass 5-pin DIN connector (available in straight or 90-degree configurations) leading to custom Redline RCA or balanced XLR plugs. Every contact point features gold-plating to three times standard industry thickness, ensuring an airtight, lifetime mechanical bond.

Key Performance Features:

  • Optimized Phono Geometry: Custom-configured internally for ultra-low voltage cartridge signals.
