H200 Streaming Integrated Amplifier
The AWARD winning Hegel H200 is Hegel’s new connected integrated amplifier — 150 watts per channel, a high-performance DAC, full streaming, a moving-magnet phono stage and a proper analogue section in one chassis. It has already been named EISA Amplifier 2026–2027
Kantata Audio is a Hegel retailer working by appointment from a private showroom in Northern Ireland. Bring your own music. We will set the H200 up around the loudspeakers and sources you actually use. Questions about finish, arrival dates or how the H200 compares with the Hegel H150? EISA Amplifier 2026–2027
The Expert Imaging and Sound Association named the Hegel H200 its Amplifier of 2026–2027. The official citation ends:
“Free from unnecessary embellishment in both its design and sound, the H200 delivers a true-to-life, engaging listening experience that is unmistakably high-end.”
Key Features
The Hegel H200 sits in the sweet spot of the Hegel integrated range: more power and grip than the H150, with the same in-house streaming platform and DAC thinking found further up the line, at a price that still makes sense as a one-box system. The EISA jury called out that balance — flagship-level control and refinement, without the flagship price.
At its core is a 150 W per channel Class A/B analogue amplifier using Hegel’s SoundEngine2 technology. Distortion is detected where it occurs and cancelled before it travels further through the signal path. Combined with a damping factor above 4,000 and 2-ohm stability, bass starts and stops cleanly and complex music stays composed. This is not a streamer with an amplifier attached. It is an amplifier that happens to include a carefully integrated digital section.
The onboard DAC accepts coaxial, optical, USB-B, USB-A and network sources. USB-A plays up to 10,000 songs directly from a drive. Network streaming covers Spotify Connect Lossless, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, airable internet radio and podcasts, and UPnP. Use the services you already have and the control app you are familiar with. The Hegel Control app is there when you want input, volume, radio and library browsing.
Vinyl is treated as a first-class source. The dedicated MM phono input is based on the moving-magnet section of Hegel’s standalone V10 phono stage, with hand-matched FET gain stages. A balanced XLR input, two RCA line inputs, fixed and variable line outputs and a headphone output keep external sources and a second system properly served.
Everyday use is designed to stay out of the way. Digital Input Sense can wake the amplifier and select the correct input. It can learn volume commands from a television remote. Each input can take a fixed volume level for home-theatre use. Startup volume, maximum volume, auto standby and fully customisable display dimming are all included. Control4, Crestron Home and Crestron SIMPL cover larger installations. Firmware and features update automatically.
A coaxial digital output and DAC Loop leave an upgrade path open. Use the H200 as a complete streaming amplifier now. Add an external DAC later if you want to. The H200 remains the hub: source selection, streaming, volume and amplification stay in one place
