It is a highly innovative three-way design that excels even in challenging acoustic environments where traditional large speakers often struggle.

Mighty Midrange & Cardioid Design

The Krypton3X features a unique cardioid midrange enclosure that is central to its exceptional performance. By housing two 8-inch papyrus midrange drivers in perforated chambers, the speaker creates a heart-shaped dispersion pattern that reduces unwanted reflections from side and back walls by up to 20 dB. This technology ensures the highest level of midrange purity and allows the speakers to perform beautifully near large windows or in smaller rooms.

Point-Source Precision

To achieve perfect time-alignment and a holographic soundstage, the Krypton3X utilizes a 1-inch titanium tweeter housed in Amphion’s proprietary 5th-generation waveguide. This waveguide places the tweeter in the same vertical plane as the midrange drivers, creating a seamless point-source that operates from 160 Hz upwards. The combined cone area of the tweeter and midrange units is up to seven times larger than competing products, allowing the Krypton3X to move massive amounts of air with ease while preserving every subtle nuance.

Controlled Power with Hidden Bass

True full-range authority is provided by a 10-inch side-firing aluminum woofer. This driver features a rigid cone and long excursion to ensure powerful, controlled bass in any environment. The side-firing orientation allows for flexible room placement—facing the woofers inward for standard setups or outward to achieve an even broader, more immersive soundstage.
